My brother John and I share a love for the NBA. Over the course of a regular season we probably meet up several dozen times to watch games, and during the playoffs we watch almost every game together (even if only via-text message).
I recently told John that I came into a new apartment where the landlord casually mentioned that the cable was already hooked up with NBA League Pass. Not only that, but the apartment is less than half a mile from the college campus we both attend.
A day later, we had this text exchange:
John: I’m going to watch a lot of basketball at your house
Me: Yea we’ve got every game, so…
John: I’m a big dallas fan now, so…
Me: Right. I’m a Heat fan.
John: I’m a big Channing Frye fan. So I’ll be there for his games.
Me: Yea we will catch every top 4 east or west games too.
John: Seems like you need to catch a couple Magic games too. And they won’t be top four.
Me: I will catch most of them. And obviously we have to keep eyes on the Hawks.
Me (again): Oh and we need to catch a few Kevin Love games. We’ve been dropping the ball with that.
John: That’s a given. Also, I’ll be keeping tabs on how Mike Brown handles the triangle o in LA.
Me: Of course if either New York or the Clippers get off to a good start we will have to tune in. And.. Jimmer… So hello Sacramento.
Looks like a couple of C averages for this next year.
